Blogging will now resume

I have not been my usual blogonymous self lately, and as a result this site has suffered. I feel as though I owe an explanation for my whereabouts.
First, I have been adjusting to Paxil – which had for a while the strange effect of making me kind of apathetic about anything that wasn’t urgently necessary. Fortunately, my brain seems to be used to it and I am getting my energy back.
Second, and more significantly, I have been transitioning off my COBRA payments and onto a cheaper (but still good) health insurance plan. My health insurance problems are solved for the indefinite future, which is good news, but this did require me to get married. Because I am and have been for some time rather in love with my new Primary Beneficiary, I cannot say I did it entirely for health insurance – but that was at least part of the equation. And, of course, the ceremony required significant time and energy that necessarily detracted from my bloggering. It was a beautiful wedding, and so totally worth the diversion of resources.
Now that it’s over, I expect to be blogging more regularly – and soon I will again host Patients for a Moment. As always, I appreciate your readership and interest, and will try to make it worth the eye strain.

Mazol Tov! My wedding invite must have been lost in the mail. Where are you registered? I am very happy for you and your primary beneficiary. Seriously, I was getting a little worried, like a good Jewish mother. You never write, you never call… when are you having babies?
Anyway, glad you are back. Now, stop blogging and get back to honeymooning!
congratulations on the marriage!!
Congratulations! I noticed your absence, and I missed you, and I was worried, so I am glad your absence was for a happy occasion (even if health insurance did have a part to play).
Congratulations!!
Congratulations! Wishing you and your bride a lovely life together.
Regarding your prior post, I am in DC, have been for nearly a week, and I’m leaving early Wednesday morning. Woke up last Friday, read about the Party of No on health care issue, 6 hours later my 14 year old and I were on a train from Portland to DC, me all fired up and going to change the world. Thus far looks like not much to do here that I can’t do at home.
I’ve been donating/calling/writing/blogging, etc, anything I can do Tuesday before leaving DC with my tail between my legs that might help the reform effort???
Thanks for all the kind words! It was a wonderful wedding, but we’re not taking our honeymoon for a while yet.
Belated congratulations!
I’m afraid I’ve been off in my own little world and not keeping up on my favorite bloggers (or even my own blog! It’s the first time I failed to post at ALL during a calendar month!) and just came across a mention of it thanks to Leslie’s PFAM post.
Anyway, I’m glad you didn’t get married JUST to take advantage of the insurance benefits.
I wish you and your Primary Benefactor many, many years of happiness together!
