Go work for the Federal government

So says Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), when asked how an ordinary American might get health insurance as good as the Senator’s.
This not an idea that has escaped my attention. In fact, the Federal government could wallpaper the White House with all the copies of my resume I’ve sent. I even worked for them for a little while; the health benefits were excellent. It’s just not a substitute for a functioning health care system.
