When I first moved to New Jersey the DMV was horrible -- long lines, surly workers, uncomfortable chairs, the lot. About 10 or 15 years ago they changed management systems entirely. Now my local DMV folks are unfailingly courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, quick, and even friendly. They help each of us figure out exactly what we need to do and get it done as expeditiously as possible. Now, if we could only get our local healthcare to work like THAT.
