Rock? Hard Place?

A while back a guy posted some comments here under the name “Rock Meet Hard Place”. He and I subsequently started an email correspondence about our respective experiences with health care. In his comments he mentioned that he is hospitalized with brain cancer, and I think he told me in email that one of his nurses put him onto this blog.
I haven’t heard from him in a while – email doesn’t get a response – so I’m wondering how he’s doing. If you know the guy I’m talking about, drop me an email.
It has occurred to me, of course, that he might have been yanking my chain, and just got tired of the joke. After all – on the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog. But for now I want to think he was sincere, as is my concern.
