Mr. Baucus

Max Baucus’s plan for health-care reform looks promising. I tend to agree with Ezra Klein’s analysis, but if nothing else this validates my support for Sen. Edwards. Whatever Edwards’s failings as a husband and father, as a candidate he was driving the debate on health care reform and made Baucus’s plan possible. I voted in Florida, so it’s not like I mattered for the primaries anyway, but it’s nice to see a good idea can survive in DC.
I still intend to read over the plan with an eye for chronic and pre-existing conditions. I’ll post on that later, maybe tomorrow.
